OPL Yellow Screen Help :/
Hey, been a lurker for a long time and read a ton of threads on the problem but still hoping you guys can help a friend out some more. also i know this is a lot of info, but past experience proves that more is more and the more you guys know the more you can offer assistance.
i have opl .7, ule 4.41, fmbc 1.8b, basically all the latest stuff installed and working on my ps2 slim, silver, 7000 something series. no modchips, no swapmagic disks, none of that junk.
so anyways i have a Maxtor 500 gig One Touch hdd external usb enclosure. one that supposedly works great with the ps2, in fact Maxtor hdd's are all around awesome for consoles afaik. i have it partitioned into a 400 gig WBFS partition (wii backup file system), a 20 gig NTFS partition (also used in tandem with the wbfs for the wii), and a 80 gig Fat32 partition for Ps2 games. I partitioned my 80 gig section using Paragon Partition Manager 2010 into a NTFS partition and then into Fat32 and then i defragged my 4 ps2 games, installed them with USButil 2.1, then defragged the whole partition, and then tried to load them up in OPL. OPL recognizes the games are installed and lets me boot them but i always get stuck on a yellow screen. no matter the game and no matter the settings. (the games are ffxii, psyconauts, burnout 3, and shadow of the colossus; all of with afaik shld work, esp ffxii) The games are all unpatched and unmodified dumps as well.
also to see if paragon wasnt cutting it as far as partitioning and formating and defragging i have also tried using the dos ul_format commands, which work for formating but dont work for playing, and the power defragger 3.0 with the TriplePass.
idk why this is and its making me sad :[ my hdd shld work, i seem to have followed all the steps, my ps2 shld be compatible, and some help would be much appreciated everyone.
tl;dr; - yellow screen in opl.7 on all games, possible fixes welcome
