When i try to play online ps2 games with OPLv0.8 for some reason the games don´t detect the network hardware... well i have the slim ps2 version 2.30bios, the new ones.

It works if i play direct from the cd and i play the games connected to my computer via SMB.

    What can it be?!

If your playing from SMB, then you are already "using" the Network and OPL can not make 2 Network connections at the same time, so try running the games from the USB if yu want to go online with OPL.

Wrong it's because the gateway address conflicts. Simple fix here

Wrong, its because the PS2 NA wasnt designed to run 2 network connections at the same time.

No offense but i'm pretty sure it's the exact same "user error" issue as PS2rd's Remote Debugger or similar where it kicks you off the internet on a wireless network until you reset the PS2.
Debugging on a game in the CDVD drive obviously since PS2rd doesn't yet support debugging via OPL yet.
Hey they didn't just pass me my iPRO Level 3 certificate you know, I had to study for it

I think the above poster meant Logical Gateway Address.

I take no offense, but your saying its only "user error" as the reason? You mean to tell me we can play Network loaded games and go online from the game running on the PS2?

Now that i would definitely NEED to see a video of it in action, as i cant believe a simple "user error" is the cause of everybody not being able to play online games from OPL's Network SMB, even the devs say it cant be done.

People cant run OPL, connect to their SMB share, retrieve a game and then go online with that game running on their PS2....period! I would love to be proven wrong on this....i think everyone else would too.

I dont doubt you did, but i think your talking about the PC going online while running PS2 games with OPL, sure i do that all the time. I can even run 2 PS2 console connected to my SMB Share and run 2 different games at the same time, while my PC is online. But that is not the issue here.

You do realize we are talking about the PS2 Network Adapter, not the PC's Network cards or wireless....right? That fix you posted a few posts back wasnt going to help anyone play their PS2 games online from OPL.

Can you debug with PS2CC rev30?
can you also stream Argon Radio playlists?
there's no reason why you can't use more than one protocol, the BB Browser allows STMP, POP3, UDP, FTP and TCP irc.

Dont know, what do they have to do with the PS2 NA making 2 different IP connections?

Arent they using the same IP to do all that per session?

OPL uses the LAN IP to connect to SMB, right?
Then it streams the game data to the PS2, right?
Now the connection remains open while the game is running, right?

Now the game wants to use a different IP addres to go online, you still think it can from the same PS2 NA?
