I tried to launch them on OPL,USB advance and PS2EDSL with no luck getting them to launch. I got GT4 to boot then, black screen. With the Socom, which I have to versions, the pal version didn't want to even boot. with the us ripped version I at least got it to boot to freezing at loading screen. All results were done in with OPL V .9. I couldn't get any better results with either USBAdvance or PS2EDSL. although I favor PS2EDSL, in my experience, it seems less compatible than the other two mentioned(USBAdvance, OPL).
I have only been testing these games to run from USB as I don't have a HDD with adapter for my phat 30001. So, SMB and HDD are currently out of the question, I believe.
Haven't considered making disc backups...yet.
But what did occur to me, which I haven't read anything about so I even doubt that this is something that's doeable.
I was wondering about have a HDD server to boot the games from like SMB? Now my understanding is that would only work if I had a phat PS2 correct?
