    Hi,

I am going to setup a SMB connection for my PS2 (OPL - Latest Rev, which I'm compiling as I type), as it seems that'll give me the best performance. I was just wondering, from the more experienced OPL user, will a crossover cable connection be faster, or the same speed as connecting to my router ? I can choose either, and can easily make my own crossover cable from an old Ethernet Cable if need be.

basically, which will be that touch faster (if any) Crossover to PC, or Etehrnet through Router (wireless connection to PC).

Thanks for an answer offered on this.

I personally recomend via crossover cable coz its been >6 months ive used it with OPL with no problem at all.

The speed logically will be the same i think. The ethernet speed is way more fast than the PS2 iop can handle, so if the network setup is fine then either way is ok.
As for speed if you interest : in 100Mbps ethernet card that i use, only managed to get
    max 14 % network utilization, thats about 1,3 MB/s - 1,5 MB/s depending on the game.

    Thanks.
