OPL network FMV stutters bad =(

I tried streaming games using OPL through a usb drive and my network. I got them both working, but the kingdom hearts opening fmv stutters pretty bad. It's unbearable on USB and somewhat better on my network, but it's still there. is there anything i can do about this stuttering?

have you tried every setting in opl to see if it helps

I have the same stuttering FMV problem with Kingdom Hearts through SMB. All my other games play smoothly without any hiccups. I guess the problem is with the game itself. I've only tried playing with the default settings though. I'll try applying different settings as dlsmd suggested and see what happens.

If your using the release version OPLv0.7, then you will be happy to know many games have been improved in development revisions...including the KH & KH2 gummi missions. Stuttering has been improved as well, but not for every game of course, as some played via USB will be at the mercy of the USB 1.1 limited speeds.

I currently use one of crazyc's latest betas and still get the stuttering from this game.

Try the ones from ifcaro's repository, as im not sure from what revision crazyc used for his repository to develop VMC branch, but i do remember testing KH, KH2 and KH: Chain of Memories during development before OPLv0.7's release and they worked ok without stuttering. Make sure your not using any patched versions for the gummi missions, just a clean rip and of course defragmented.

I've only tested 2 games so far, kingdom hearts and FFX-2 and both opening FMV's stutter or lag.

I'm not sure what you mean by trying every setting but I my network settings are good and port 445 is open on my router. On my network I get 50mb's transfer rates between computers which should be more than enough =(

So from here I should try other versions and change my settings? Like compatibility settings?

Actually playing FF X-2 NTSC/U from internal hard disk, tested in SMB core and find that the FMVs are stuttering, but other games works just fine; I think is the way the game requests data than the speed of the data.

As a side note the FF X-2 games sometimes momentary "freezes" when playing from internal HDD, the music is still playing but some times after battle or when changing dresspheres the games "pauses" like 1/2 second to 1 1/2 seconds and then reanudes normally.

I have the same problem with Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut...the intro FMV shutters and after some seconds it stops. The most surprising thing is that PS2 Emulator has the same problem with this game, so maybe it needs an specific fix.

I can't for the life of me find any of cracyc rev. downloads.

I've tested .07 .06 and .05 offical but none of them fix the stuttering =(

Can someone link me to the website where I can find the crazyc downloads or any other versions I should try out?
