OPL and NAS (not working)
OPL and NAS (not working) –
11-02-2010,11:49 PM
Hi,
I'd like to know if there is some fix or extra config to make OPL recognize a NAS to play games off it.
My NAS is "NAS-RDC3282".
I'm using OPL 0.7 whith PS2 SCPH 90001 (Matrix) and network countdown finishes but menu says "no item".
Tried everything i could:
- changed port 445 to 139
- edited snprintf(path, 64, "%sul.cfg", prefix); to snprintf(path, 64, "mc0:ul.cfg"); what makes OPL freezes on a white screen after selecting the game.
- used wireshark to capture the packages but i only got a "who is" from PS2 to NAS and nothing else.
Could anyone help me? Please
P.s. Sorry by bad english, i'm brazilian.

Hummm remind me some experience too.
In france we have some integrated router provided by our ISP, in this case SFR. Recently (begin of the year) they added into the firmware the SAMBA share functionality.
So I tried to make it work with OPL, and got the same result as you.
The PS2 start opening the network connection by sending an ARP request to the configured target, and expect a response. Without (which is the case in our both situation), it doesn't goes further.
I'm not a network expert, so I don't know if the endpoint should respond to the ARP, or if it is mandatory. Depending on the answer, maybe something can be done in OPL or not.
When Jimmi will come back, I'll ask him
