OPL freezes on my friend's ps2

hi guys i have no problem with opl i use it with smb , but when i tried it with my friend's ps2 it starts and the loading thing on the bottom right spins and after 3 seconds it freezes , and one other thing whenever he tries to enter the usb from ulaunchelf it freezes too , he can play copied dvds so i guess its modded already and it can run ulaunchelf and starts opl but freezes.....any help?

Sounds like mod chip conflict turn off mod chip but you have to know what type you have to do that and how to turn them off differs

any way to do that without openning the ps2 ?you know like in my matrix-ed ps2 there is a logo on the ps2 boot , which his ps2 doesnt have but i dunno his console might have the logo turned off , where we live the ps2s are sold modded so we dont know which mod chip is in there as we are not the ones who chipped it

Sorry to say but you must know the mod chip to know how to turn it off and your guess is a lot better then mine since you have it their and I don't
