    Hi!

I'm having a problem to start OPL in network mode.

    Mine network configuration

    Router(192.168.100.249) --- switch ----PS2(192.168.100.201)
    Router(192.168.100.249) --- switch ----Win8 PC(192.168.100.200)

PS2 network in ulancherelf is working fine, i can see resource on pc and i can ping ps2.

I'v created ps2smb folder on drive c:, created a user ps2 and granted him permissions to ps2smb folder.

When I'm trying to start network in OPL I get error 300...

SMB is working fine, i'v checked it on android phone with the same settings as ps2 and i can see ps2smb folder.

I'v tried to do the same on different PC with Win7 and i'm getting the same error.

On OPL 0.8, when ill start network, no error is showing, but no shares are displayed and getting no ping to ps2

What is your gateway address in your network?

Also try using OPL 9. Check the sticky topics in the OPL section to find the thread that links that latest version.

I do find your gateway ID # kind of odd, because you set your router to be in the same range as your other DHCP devices. Most gateways in home networks are set by default to 192.168.1.1 (that's an address none of your DHCP devices will try to emulate) and then your computers and other DHCP devices can be between 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150 range (depending on the maximum you set for DHCP users).

Did you set that gateway yourself? Do you have other computers in your home network having a problem connecting to each other?

Also make sure that the Subnet Mask is set correctly in OPL's network configurations. And pick an IP address that you will know that none of your computer devices at home will use. I set mine to an IP address way up, that I know it would not be grabbed by another online device at my home.

BTW, I did a search for "OPL error 300" and found this old topic discussing it, and the author on post #5 says he figured how to fix this. Check this thread: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f150/net...52/#post994133 (Network error 300> OPL to Samba server)

I have complicated network in home

    VDSL (bridge to public network subclass; 60/60Mbps) --- WLAN(wds) ))) ((( WLAN(wds) --- Router(on WAN 2x public IP)
Router has dhcp form 1 to 100 in 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0
WiFi from router goes to some laptops and smartphones(max 15 in the same time)
Lan from router goes to Gigabit managed switch and then to ps2, xbox360, htpc(smb server to ps2 and others), some PC, STB, TV, some naigberhod routers, and some custom devices.

I do not wont to build another "pc" with samba server on it, on htpc iv got nice raid area and some http and alike serwers.

I'v tried to change IPs for htpc and ps2, adding/removing users to shares, enabling guest account. Nothing is working to me...

Their is a slight secret to OPL .9.1 that most do not know

first turn off auto start put on manual network go to network config clear Share name say ok
Then start the network if it is getting anything from share on all connect pc with the proper ip it will show the share names if it show chose your share game folder
then go and save to make it final
