OPL: 180 Cover Art Pack

Hi,
Just thought I'd contribute back a lttle, so I made a pack of covers for games I have, and those I aim to get at some point (Mostly PAL, but some NTSC and a couple translated NTSC-J Games). Obviously, if you have a game that has the cover art here, but of a different region, simply change the TitleID in the image title to reflect the version you own.

Each image is named correctly (TitleID_COV.png) and has a standard size of 140x200 (As suggested), although, the odd few are a few pixels off, either width or height, so as to keep the correct ratio of the original cover image I converted it from (Please note that these will still work fine, and will still look the same size as all the rest.)

Instructions : The attaced zip file is called ART, so you can either exract the contents to your own ART folder, or extract the zip as a Directory to your OPL games folder. Thats it.

(NOTE: I zipped these with 7zip, and although I am pretty sure most archive software will extract it ok (Winzip, winrar, jetpak, etc..), if you do have problems then just use the latest version of 7zip, its only a small download.)

I've been slowly creating the Guides for OPL v0.8 and one of the new things will be a download gallery for the various Art (cover, icon, bg) and Themes. If you want i can add yours to it and your nic will be next to yours that i use. I have a ton already, so any duplicates cant be used with the same GameID of course.

Sure JNABK, that'd be cool, the more ppl that I can offer these to the better .. :>

Great! That means OPL v0.8 public release is getting near.:D

what we really need are disk images for icon art!

Well, i wouldnt go by that....i have so much to do before the guides are even ready.

I have people who submitted cover art from when it was first developed and had to convert a lot from .raw to png. Then the filenames changed and i had to convert all those and update the guides i started a while ago. Then im getting new submissions with a lot of duplicates and some 'blurry' images i have to fix, some games i couldnt read and had to look up what they were. Then i had to split the list into 5 pages so far (didnt feel like making one for each letter, 26 pages :cry: but i might have to) and thats just the cover art downloads. :wow: :lol:
As dlsmd said theres the icon art too, i have only the icon art i started for my 160 games and expect them to be submitted soon, then i have to code all of those for downloads.

I wouldnt expect them to be done any time soon, as there are over 2,500 PS2 games and i still have home life and work to use up my time, so i only get a few hrs a day to work on it.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you why not give some off to someone else that you trust.

well i have already given JNABK over 1800 NTSC U/C covers one for each disk(even games with Multiple disks) but that does not include JAP, PAL

Its a hobby for me, i dont mind. Anyone who wants to help can, but im still working out the 'template' design for the site with new pages i have to put in the NavBar and make a "psx-scene" look and feel, so i have that yet to do. I just updated the FMCB guide with the psx-scene design, so it will be something like that.

Im in no hurry, as development is still being ironed out and i think i'll have time to complete it before the release.

Anyone who wants to help can write up a guide for VMC, HDL Server useage or anything new since OPLv0.7 release. I think izdubar is writing up the Themes/Art guide, but i'll wait to see on that. Im mainly concentrating on the downloads pages right now, as they are the most time consuming.

I think i might have to make a page per letter, as they are getting to be long with just 5 pages.
