Yay first post in a forum asking for help in a scene I didn't know existed until a few days ago. I finally decided to register after lurking for a few days.
Here's my dilemma, and I'm going to try and make this as informative as possible.
My desktop is running windows 7 x64, and I have my PS2 connected via X-over, yes, verified that it is, though I hear it isn't relevant with newer NICs.
In OPL, I have my settings set to:
PS2:
IP - 192-168-137-0 (As stated by uLaunchELF)
Mask - 255-255-255-0
Gateway - 192-166-137-1 (Which is the IP for the ethernet port)
PC:
IP - 192-168-137-1
Port - 445
Share - j (It's the hard drive I have shared, and it's the share folder name on network, can be adjusted with ease.)
User - is my PCs admin account, since that's what I am under, and sharing was being awkward.
Password -is my admin account password
I have renamed all my .iso files in accordance with the naming scheme required. ("SLUS_217-35-MKAAR-iso" as an example, game being Mana Khemia)
I can actively ping my PS2 via CMD ping 192-168-137-0, with 1ms response time.
My file system on J:\ is 2 folders (DVD and CD, respectively), with my isos in the the DVD folder.
Despite all this, I can't seem to get OPL to recognize the games via network, despite the fact that it is obviously connected. I've tried rearranging the file system to various variations I've seen around, and I've been playing around with user and with or without password hoping that somehow it would magically click.
I'm sure it's probably the easiest of solutions or something stupidly obvious that I'm missing, but I'm at a loss.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Note: Hyphens are periods, apparently it thought I was trying to link something and it wouldn't let me post.

1 Put DVD and CD folders in a folder name of your choice
2 make sure OPL has correct share name for Folder
3 make sure OPL has correct username and password

I have. It's all set up in accordance to my pc, and everything lines up, hence my confusion.

make sure your mask on PC side is correct and check your shares permissions
And what I was getting at about folders was like this
J:\PS2SMB\DVD
J:\PS2SMB\CD
I have always had problems with OPL sharing strait off of HD

Alright, I just double checked the subnet, and rearranged the file system. The folder is set to share with everyone, and it appears on the computer downstairs, so I know it is working.
I suppose worst case, I can just load some games off USB, I would just enjoyed the fast loads, non-skipping FMVs and better support, but it's all good.
I've been messing with this for quite a bit, and it's feeling like a lost cause. :P

Then sorry to hear about all the problems
on a last note if everyone then make sure OPL is the same settings
One other thing at least on xp when moving folders on shares I have had to disable share then activate it again

First, remember that if your drive is formatted NTFS, you should put special permissions to (all and network in sharing and security tab).
and FAT32, I do not need, works well with me.
Another thing because you configured with this ip? 192.168.137.x
I remember that when configured with an ip like it did not work, I do not know why.
try to do some testing with ips such as:
IP - 192-168-10-5
Mask - 255-255-255-0
Gateway - 192-168-10-1
PC:
IP - 192-168-10-1
Port - 445
Share - j
User - GUEST
Password - empty
the important thing is not to give up.

The partition I have for the PS2 games is fat32.
I tried other IPs like the ones you listed and I wasn't even able to ping the PS2. The 192-168-137-x is from the lan port and ulaunch telling me that's the internal IP of the PS2.
I did take a stab at the configuration you mentioned, with no such luck. Remember, I am bridging direct from PC, not going through my router.

let's try some more things.
just to test your settings exactly the same. but with (user-GUEST) and it worked.
1 - if posssivel, make the same settings of your first post where your ping worked fine.
2 - I noticed that you renamed the wrong game:
SLUS_217-35-MKAAR-iso ----- is wrong
SLUS_217.35.MKAAR.iso ----- is correct
3- is very important in network and sharing center - advanced sharing settings look like this:
in public

do not forget to save your changes.
make sure the shared folder is named correctly on the PC and OPL.
