Open PS2 Loader, USB HDD and Singstar sound

Dear all
I am pleased to use the Open PS2 Loader and my slim PS2

I am having problems with the Singstar games as I load from a USB HDD and when the game is loaded there is no sound from my Microphone. The game recognizes the mic and the mic works but there is no sound.
I have searched the forum and found mentioning of the problem but no work-around or solution.
Are others experiencing this and is there a solution ?

I have the same issue. I tried legend, anthem, disney and abba. And none of them react on the microphones.
The game does nag about it if they are not connected. As soon as you connect them the warning goes away and the game starts.
So they must register to the game allthough they give no sound.

Is there allready a fix for this?

I can give a fast most likely answer OPL will not work with two USB devices at once and causes errors

I could be wrong but probably works with SMB and Internal HD

I use SingStar with internal HDD and microphones work. However, you can't swap discs, and in-game reset doesn't work. You have to reboot the PS2 to swap discs. Hope they fix that in OPL 9.
