Same thing here, but its still an improvement from what it was before. Those parts that still have the stuttering effect was unbearable to sit thru before.

how true. before it was non stop stutter. I agree that it is better, but I just wanted to report it's behavior.
One new bug i just noticed is if your in the SMB games list and dont do anything for a full minute, the list disappears and you have to restart. Never did that before. Is it the same for you bootleg?

Yes it does that for me also. I should have mentioned that awhile ago. But no one else had said anything, so I thought it was just me.
You're right. only took about a minute of it being idle in the SMB game list. Then it displayed "No Items" and doesn't allow for any game list refreshing.
Edit - my next thought is this: Could this small bug be affecting the core in any way?
Its only this latest revision , newcore_4 that i have seen this bug in, all other tests i have walked away from the ps2 and returned to a list i could still use.
Im sure its just a typo or something jimmi missed and is easily fixed.

Was playing a bit of Primal last night with the Newcore 4 version and I'm impressed. that game worked perfectly other than a bit of stutter on a logo FMV in the intro of the game. Of course that game has only rendered FMV's, but hell, I'm happy with the results on that one.![]()
Sorry for the bug of the list disappearing, I've fixed it.
I also have found more optimizations that make FF12 Intro FMV plays near flawless.
Isn't it posible to let the loader buffer for a longer time on fmv's? Since that seems the biggest problem besides of the compatability.
let me do what I have to do!
Buffering will simply kill compatibility.
