also i had to rebuild gsKit, as it turned out broken first time around - it could not link itself ogether :]
We know that, it's because of the current state of the SDK we decided to not update code. (I'm using myself one of the latest SDK, and needs to rename GetSyscall to GetSyscallHandler as you're doing).

If you have the latest SDK, and apply the change you mentionned, you don't need other thing.

cool .i.ve just tested grim grimoire with it. that was my first time playing ps2 game off usb.

it works and actually loads very fast, which is very surprising. i'd risk saying that load times are on-par with hdloader in this particular game (but sound did briefly skip during loading some stages).

btw. jimmi i think it might be good to just put ps2sdk patches needed to build open usb loader against current ps2sdk in separate dir in the project repository (e.g. "patches" directory)

New user here with not much luck.

I tried using OpenUSBLd rev 62 (both versions of that) with Atelier Iris and Ar Tonelico. OpenUSBLd loads fine but neither game loads (although they both appear on the list).

I also tried the regular 0.41 USBA and Normal versions on ifcaro's ps2dev website. Neither seem to boot those games which are listed as working. The Normal version does white-pink-white-freeze and the USBA does white-pink-freeze (i think that's correct, maybe I've got the versions reversed).

Also, trying to go back to version 0.2b seems to not be able to list the games at all, although it does boot from the same USB Drive the games are on.

USBUtil 2.00 was used to make the games.

    (PS3 is 60GB USA B.C. version, using Swapmagic 3.8).

Does this point to faulty ISO/GAME creation or to a non-supported drive? Unfortunately I don't have another drive to test with.

That depends on games, some doesn't seem at all to be run from USB, some others are very long to load.

But when In game you'll rarely notice a difference.

You're right if the SDK still broken to much time it will be cool to have the patch you gave above, along with information on it.

The compatibility is a lot better now, than last week.
Also the new User-&Configuration-Options are nice (even if not all look nice yet...).

If the bandwith/transfer-rate only would be a bit higher,...

Can't wait to try this out. Been a user of USBExtreme since when it first came out.

Where were you guys then? lol

I spent a lot of time getting games too work, back when Jaydium had his site posted with compatibility listing.

I remember many a game taking almost 30-45 secs or longer to load, some videos very choppy, but once running, gameplay was ok.

Now its so simple..Sure appreciate all the work you have all put into it, especially thanks to Ifcaro.

I mostly just use my IDE hdd, but still always liked to play around with the USB drive.

do you have a ntsc disk? i might try with pal, but i if somebody is already testing it - i don't want to duplicate the effort.

i suspect getting vp2 to work will be a major milestone for the project.
