That sounds reasonable, as no other interaction except for negotiations should be allowed until those negotiations reach an acceptable result.

Please try r283 to confirm or infirm this.
I have just done so, and I am happy to inform you that rev 283 does work fine here, while rev 282 still fails identically to my previous test. So whatever you did differently for rev 283 was definitely a good choice.

The failure with rev 282 shows a long delay at the final step "1" of the countdown, which is where the timeout then breaks off further attempts.

But with rev 283 the program stays in step 1 only for a brief interval of appx 2 seconds before the list of games is displayed.

Edit: Btw: I made this comment a separate post instead of just editing my previous post directly above, just to ensure that you see this as a new post in your browsing. But new members who may see this should be aware that this method of sequential posting by the same user is normally discouraged.

Security matter I suppose... Nemesis given me a capture, and as soon as an SMB Echo arrive, the server close the connection, as simple as that.
I was sending an SMB echo before to try negociate just to ensure there was a SMB replying since it's said in many SMB docs that an echo is not dependent of protocol negociation.

But the good news is that it works now

Hi Polo35 . I don't know whether to ask this right in here or no. but I want to find a revision that has the vmc implemented, everywhere that I search says to look into Polo35's OPL revision. but I just couldn't find a link to your revisions.

I can compile it myself, there is no issue in that. I just want a link to your revisions.

Is your revision the same as Volca's, I mean if I get Volca's revision will it have the vmc in it.

    Sorry for my bad english.

    Regards.

Again if this post is not appropriate over here, you can just remove it.

Hey i have a slim ps2 (scph 75001). Open Ps2 loader boots, but i cannot get any game to populate in there.

    I have tried the following:

    Usbutil
    UsbInsane
    Usbextreme

*I am attempting to run the games via a 16 gb PNY thumb drive, I have also tried other thumb drives and an external hardrive.

*I have also used powerdefragmenter on the specified files.

*initially i was trying to run USBAdvance but whenever that loads up it stops and the letters turn red and freeze.

If anyone can help me to get usbadvance or openps2 loader in I would appreciate it.

Did you format the USB device to FAT32 first, before installing any games?
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

    Just registering...
Depending on the quality of USB Case Enclosure used together an IDE 2.5" HDD, you can be able play movies on SMS, but you cannot boot games with OPL (all games are listed on OSD, but they freezes on lemon-colored debug screen when booting)... It's very strange isn't it?
Well, this happened with my Samsung HM160HC IDE 2.5" HDD (160GB 5400RPM 8M PATA) enclosured into my USB Case.
After a friend of mine borrowed me his USB Case, I've made some testing, and in the end I discovered that the problem is only with my USB Case and not my IDE HDD. :-(
So it's time to buy a new and better one...
