does anybody experience problems loading a game via USB with the recent revisions?
it seems weird for me that 2 of my IDE to USB device freeze to a yellow screen when loading a game with rev 242 and 243 but my 2.5 HHD sata to USB enclosure, SATA to USB dongle and USB flash drive works with no problem.
I get a yellow screen for all my games on my 2.5-in IDE HDD. I get white screens for OPL v0.5/0.6... which seem to be incompatible with my USB case (Which through PS2ESDL's development I've found that it doesn't seem to like frequent 4096 byte/8-sector reads).
The late v0.6 (Public release version) gives me a Yellow screen, even if I had defragmented my HDD.
I believe that these problems are caused by OPL being incompatible with certain USB cases (Maybe because of the way it requested reads, but I can't say for sure)... especially cheap cases.
One problem I think OPL will have in the future if it doesn't get patched:
It won't work with drives with a sector size that is not 512 (Some new HDDs have sector sizes of 4096). Most drives nowadays have 512-byte sectors, but new ones in the future most probably won't (Some non-HDD USB disks don't have 512-byte sectors either).
but when i use the old rev that i'd complied (forgot which rev..but i belive it before 242) all works fine in USB game loading
Only the older OPNUSBLD v0.41 (Predecessor to OPL) which used the USBAdvance modules work properly for me (USBAdvance included). PS2ESDL v0.714 works too.... but I can't really say why (It also uses USBHDFSD + USBD like OPL does).
