    a. Splitting Skin-Choice into Button-iconset-Choice and Background-choice (thus people can change only the background and/or button-iconsets very fast and it makes the range of visuals/styles/themes/skins bigger, without having more files on USB/MC,...).

or b. a simple option to not show any background.

Edit: Ooops, not the suggestion-thread. Sorry.
Simply delete the files you want and it loads only where they exist.

When running a game from a USB HDD OPNPS2LD has already loaded a USB driver of its own in order to start the game, and that driver must remain active and undisturbed in order to continue playing the game from the virtual CDVD disk in USB storage. So when that game requests the loading of additional USB drivers there is indeed a conflict, and the normal result of that conflict is that the new driver is not loaded, although the game is told that the load succeeded to avoid the game aborting. At best the game can then still use the driver supplied by OPNPS2LD, but for cases where additional drivers were intended to 'hook into' that driver by special means that can fail, because the standard driver of OPNPS2LD is not compatible with those special means.

Your chances of successful results to use USB equipment with a game will rise significantly if you run the game by some method that does not in itself require use of the USB interface, such as running the game from an SMB fileshare on a PC instead. This way there will be no conflict between the OPNPS2LD loader core used and the USB driver needs of the game.

This is also preferable in many other ways, like in how it allows you to install the game without dedicating its storage drive for use with the PS2. You can just install it to a folder on a normal PC HDD and fileshare that folder to the PS2. Another advantage is that the SMB loader core has the potential for higher speed than the USB loader core has (as the hardware is USB 1.1).

Open PS2 loader searchs in the memory card for a custom usbd.irx, maybe copying usbd from game in mc can work.

    Yes, me

Albo *my* dziękujemy, albo *on* jeden dziękuje.

chyba powinno byc: DZIEKUJEMY ZA SKORZYSTANIE Z NASZEJ APLIKACJI

proponuje SKORKE a z KONFIGURUJ masz racje

    "Brak rzeczy"

he he, a tu to sie usmialem faktycznie zle sie kojarzy.

    "Apps"
Apps to zdrobniale o Applications, może zamiast robić twarde "Programy", też zastosować taką formę? Np. "Progsy". ;]
moim zdanie znacznie lepiej brzmi "Aplikacje"

    "Default menu"
    "Domyślne Menu"

    "Load from disc"
    "Uruchom z płyty"

    "Please wait"
    "Proszę czekać"
    jest dobrze

"Error while loading the Game ID"
"Błąd podczas odczytywania Game ID" (ładowania?)
zmienilbym na "blad podczas ladowania gry"

    "Use Hard Drive"
    "Użyj twardego dysku"
    bez zastrzezen

    - - -

So, this is my proposition. ;]
Pozdrawiam. Darek

    About this post:
In this post Im trying to suggest some small changes in few names in translation. The longer text above this one is about that my propositions are only my opinions, and basicly I agree with changes that Berion wants to make, so its just a confirmation that Hes choices are good. In almost every case He is right, because some translations seems to sound not exactly as they should, but there are also some suggestions on what to change. Sorry that before editing my post was entirely in polish, I understand that some people may have been anger about that.

    @DariuszG:
It is one thing that the subject you discuss with Berion concerns a polish translation, so that you must (obviously) mention all those polish words and phrases that you are considering as potential translation choices. I have no problem at all with that.

But it is another thing entirely when you switch to conducting that discussion entirely in polish. That is really not acceptable in an English-speaking forum, and if you want to discuss something entirely in a non-english language then you should switch to PM or email for doing it.

    Hi, Great work!!
I have a question. Is there a limit on the size of the internal HDD that can be used to load games?

Theoretically you can use up to I believe a 2TB internal HDD, but the largest IDE drive I have, and tried is 750GB. It works fine, but does take a few mins to load.

Now the max external size is to be determined..

No seriously, of course it will come, but please be patient that's all.
    Modchips users are not alone.

If it's not already released there's a good reason, not all stuff is tested.

EDIT: Anyone wanting to be a guinea pig with his PS2 HDD ?
I implemented the stuff to save OPS2L compat mode for HDD games, and tested it myself on my HDD.
All seemed just work fine, I tried to save compat modes for many games in my list, and all still here.
But, the thing not being widely tested there's always a risk it corrupt HDD, I prefer to mention.
Ohh! I wanna be guinea pig. I have two ps2 so it should be no problem.

I tried to rev the 173 hdd with the game Jak And Daxter and it freezes in the video, but works fine with compatibility mode 3.

In HDLoader it crashes when saving.

Compat modes being now enabled (but not UDMA/MDMA modes actually), it means Sonic Unleashed should be launchable from HDD with OPS2L Mode 1 enabled.
    Tested Sonic Unleashed:

enabled Mode 1 and launched it from TEST mode -works fine.

I restarted the console to test the save option, but it was already saved, even though i didnt select to save it. Im fine with that, but if its going to be autosaved like in HDL when enabled, maybe a comment should be added or remove the TEST option as its 'deceiving' that its not going to be saved.
Perhaps remove [Save changes Test] and just leave OK have it autosave. HDL users are already used to it autosaving, but new-comers wouldnt.

Of course i'll be a guinea pig, aint i always....

    Edit:
I checked HDL and it still displays in the list OK, of course we already knew it didnt work in HDL.
Tested it from ToxicOS 0.41 and it displayed ok , still works just fine without modes.

    Edit 2:
Since i had my DMS4 Pro SE console running, i figured i'd test it working with Open Ps2 Loader. It booted off a USB stick, launched from the ToxicoS's browser option. I ran Sonic Unleashed again and it works just fine (with mode 1 of course), so if none of your testing team for the modchip fixes used a DMS4 Pro SE, you can add it to the list of working modchips.

JNABK you beat me too it.

I installed Sonic Unleashed to my 40GB Sony Official HDD, and yes worked fine using Mode 1 enabled.
I had saved changes first, and then rebooted and it was saved.

Wasn't sure so used that drive instead of my larger drives.
