And it has reached a level where it has almost perfect compatibility.
I for example have started (along with SP193) to actually strip a LOT of features from it (because we don't want or need them on the way we're going to use it... If we need the features, the the main branch will be aways there for us) and we managed to reduce the packed elf to measly 80KB !!!! O_O
We're using argv to tell the core which HDD image we want it to load so we don't need the GUI... Also our "petite" version does not use network or USB modules, does not support VMC so basically it's just EE CORE+IGR, IOP code for PCMCIA and SSBUS(internal HDD), plus an launcher and support libs. ^_^
