OPL 0.8 is compatible with Thunder Pro-II modchip
OPL 0.8 is compatible with Thunder Pro-II modchip –
I'd like just share an information: OPL 0.8 is fully compatible with Thunder Pro-II modchip. Now, there's no need to turn off the modchip or to do any other additional procedure.
Many Brazilians users are very thankful for this!

In fact he don't want the childproof mode, he want to be able to hide some specific games from the list, that's all.

would the nfs protocol be a possibility to get a better performance respect to a higher data transfer rate?
in my experience nfs is much faster than samba.
i know there is no standard nfs server on windows machines and you have to install one, but maybe a better performance (less stuttering) is reachable.
but i don't know anything about the technical limitations of the ps2.
True, but a similar effect can be achieved for SMB or USB simply by having two different main folders for OPL. One holding the stuff suitable for all ages and another holding the stuff suitable only for adults.

For USB this method of course requires a recent beta, as having a main OPL folder instead of using the root dir on USB was not yet implemented in the release of OPL v0.8. So with the public release this workaround only works for SMB.
But for internal HDD no simple workaround of this kind is possible with present install methods, as each game is stored as an independent partition of the HDD.

I have a little doubt about the option of "Automatic Refresh".
In the guides says is for the games list, but is also for
refreshing the apps list automatically and manually with
Select button, or this options only works for games list?
Since the apps list is stored on the MC in the OPL folder and you can change it while in OPL, i dont think it refreshes, but you might see the Loading icon still active as it refreshes the other devices, unless you set it to manual refresh for all devices.

Well, the other option "automatic sorting" which organize the
games by alphabet works for the apps, is supposed
this option "automatic refresh" works for both also, but
i'm still not sure...
Can someone point me to a list of few games that lag "badly" in SMB mode ? I would like to make some tests ...
