I only got the Pink Screen hang when using other external USB HDD with multiple partitions.(it does detect the game list on the active partition though)
Do you recommend me any format for packing theme files?
Or do just a folder on the USB stick with all the files in RGB24?
I could try to put more colors on restart to see where it stays.
Placing a folder with image files on a USB device is just as good, as this way its an option to use your own theme, and users can easily change them while designing them too.
Well, this elf have more colors than other for testing and also try to read a RGB24 640x480 raw image from mass:USBLD/Background.raw and place it in the background.
Ok, heres the color pattern for the 3 games i tested:
Pink-Blue-Red-Yellow-white....then stays at White.
Contra Shattered Soldier
Call of Duty: World at War
Also when you get a chance, change the font to a smaller size....only 19 Chars. display on screen.
The Background.raw works ok, there just still images though.
Now I have a text during reboot to see if the modules are loaded fine.
I have tried using libpng but gives me an exception in the function png_read_info (png_ptr, info_ptr);
I attach a picture of the text that I get (only the first time, the second time I get a negative number)
EDIT: I think it's better to let the background image and icons in raw and use attached application for convert it from a png or jpg.
Background is 640x480 RGBA24 and icons are 64x64 RGBA32 and their names are:
- background.raw - Background image
- exit.raw - Exit icon
- config.raw - Settings icon
- theme.raw - Theme icon
- language.raw - language icon
- games.raw - games icon
- disc.raw - Disc icon
I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here, but I have to ask if this is really the proper time to spend efforts on the graphic appearance of the program, before securing the functional goals already set down.
Each thing in its proper place...
As I see it this is a time to focus primarily on the 'inner' functionality of secure CDVD emulation, with some other efforts made to make the GUI practical to use. But pretty pictures and animations and such stuff can be done later, after the functionality improvements have been achieved. A simple static background picture should do fine for now, and even that is not really needed IMO.

I'm making elfs showing debug information during loading to see if we hit with the problem.
But while I am waiting for responses, I am with the program design.
For now, JNABK is the only one having problems loading games. Or at least that have been reported problems.
