I'm trying the program for the first time.
And I have a problem here:
Right after i press X on a selected game in SMB list, the program itself just freezes.
Windows shows that there's a guest connection to a configured share, but there's no files opened.
Tried 0.5, 0.6, USBInsane, USBUtil.
Just tried it with one game: "Escape form Monkey Island" (SLES_502.25)
could be a configuration issue with your ps2 side settings.
I haven't turned on any modes. Any recommendations?

Active Modchip? Try to disable if there is a Modchip in your PS2.
this problem has been solved with Rev 170 i think .
Gantz is freezing on loading. I'm using a PS3 so there is no modchip. What modes should I try to get pass this?

"Side settings" sounds ambiguous.

Right. But i can't think of any PS2 settings that can cause this freeze. The program sees games, that means network is configured properly. Not to mention that SMS over SMB and uLaunchelf FTP works no problem. I'm puzzled.
