    How about doing the APPS folder like the game folder does,
    example:
    BOOT01.Ulaunch Elf.elf
    BOOT02.HD Loader.elf
    BOOT03.Open Ps2 Loader.elf
    ....and so on.

    Its more convenient this way than to make entries in the opl apps config file.
    I would suggest this only applies for USB, HDD and SMB only. (No entries from MCs)
    Apps will only appear when either from these sources has been started.

    I was bored tonight and i translated the last rev to the spanish, but there are 2 error with the font or the UTF-8 or whatever, because when i put the ñ and letters with accent(á é í ó ú...) those letters are not recognized and appears a square instead off the letter.
    Is there any way to solve this?

    @Asahy

    To use specific characters you need an "enhanced" font file. The embedded one into OPL was trimed down to basic "latin" charset to reduce its size.

    Copy the font_Spanish.ttf from the thirdparty folder to your mc?:OPL/ folder.

    Thank you very much it works fine for the letters that has accents, but the ñ is not recognized.

    I have two spanish lng in the mc?:OPL/ folder, one named spanish (without ñ inside) and another named español (with ñ letter inside), when i change the language in the menu to spanish, works like a charm, with the font file inside OPL folder, and the accents are showed, but when i load the español language it shows as i said in my previous message, the ñ and the accents with a square. I assume that the spanish font is not loaded because of the ñ, so i downloaded a font with supports ñ, like the one in thirdparty and happens the same.
    It's not an important thing to take care but i only report it if you want to see what happens or if you want to do something.

    Another thing i see is that when i change to spanish language, i don't know if with others happens, well, not change, only select the spanish language before save the changes it shows some rare points in the screen.

    The font style is not the problem because with the one in the thirdparty or without anyone, shows like this too.
    When you save the changes those rare points dissapear, the only appears before saved.

    I'm not sure what is used to load the font file, either the name part of the lang_XXX.lng (here XXX), or the value within the language file.

    I think it is probably the value into the language file, and as pointed in the template file (lng/lang_English.lng) this value must be with "latin" charset only (as at the beginning OPL starts with the limited font file loaded).

    For the small "dot" in the rendering, it is something we know about, and is due to the truetype engine implementation that require some tweaks, but one thing interesting is that in our case, the dots are always present, no matter before or after "saving" the pref.

    EDIT:

    by "works fine for the letters that has accents, but the ñ is not recognized." you mean even with the spanish font loaded, you have a problem with the ñ ? If it is the case, I must have a look at the the font I built.

    How about a new method to sort the game list?

    AFAIK we have two methods at the moment:
    - alphabetical order
    - chronological order (time/date of installation)

    Now, if you want to sort the list by genre, release date or something else, you can of course insert letters at the first position of each game title and use the alphabetical order. But wouldn't it be nicer to have the possibility to create some kind of 'sub-categories' of the game list? I think of these sub-categories as folders which could be named by the user and which the game titles could be moved in. Furthermore the current two methods could be applied to the sub-categories themselves.

    However, i'm not demanding anything - it's only a suggestion..

    Ok understood. So, the file must be lang_Spanish.lng in "latin" charset.

    The weird thing is when i want to load, lang_Español.lng, the name is showed fine:

    Yes, that's right. The ñ isn't showed at all. I can give you the translation if you want.

    I confirm that although the font "font_Spanish.ttf" is included in the
    folder of OPL, the program not shows the spanish characters like
    the "ñ", the opening exlamation "¡", the opening interrogation "¿",
    the dieresis "¨", and others.

    If you have "Español" properly displayed in OPL gui it means you have already loaded a custom langugae supporting extended charset. By default OPL can't display the ñ. Set back to english, then open the combo box, your "Español" entry will have a square box. That's why we ask to use english latin translation of language for it (once the language is loaded, you can use whatever charset you want, as long as you provide the corerct font).

    Now, concerning the missing character in the font_Spanish.ttf, it is really strange, as I build it using the latin subset + latin1 supplement, which is proven to support all european language (as you can see in the screenshot).

    What editor are you using to create your language file ? Is it set to UTF8 (and not unicode, these are not the same at all) ?

    I used FonCreator 6.0 for check the spanish font, and seems all the
    characters are correct, includes the "ñ" and all others spanish
    characters.

    For create and save the language file i used the Notepad++ v4.1.1.

    If i save the file with the option of "encode in ANSI", when i load
    the file in the OPL not shows the spanish characters.

    But if i save the file with the option of "encode in UTF-8", happens
    a new strange thing, all the words of the translation appears in
    the wrong positions, all changed, and off course whithout showing
    also the spanish characters, i'm very loss.

    I suspect is a problem of which editor is used and the codification
    used.

    Which editor exactly is needed for save well the file?
