is it possible for opl to make mouse/keyboard work within the games that it loads?
if it is (possible), then that would be a remarkable feature to implement.
Its possible to do similar like on esdl that cache w/c less stuttering on fmv.?
In case of using SMB mode try to disable the Force 100 Mbps Full Duplex directive on IOP compilation flags inside modules->network->SMSMAP->Makefile, by commenting it:
This solved 95% of my stuttering issues when playing FMVs on my Digitus Nano NAS DN-7023... ;-)Code:IOP_CFLAGS += -Wall -fno-builtin #-DFORCE_100M_FD
Hi past 88,
Maybe it's time to tweak your specific NAS settings.
What I did for mine is described here:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f111/sms...77/#post829731
I really expect that after reading the above post, you can infere how to solve this issue on your personal NAS setup.
Sorry about that, but currently I have no more clues to give to you...
My feature suggestion
Display categories? I havent found this on any loader, is it possible? Like to have OPL display only certain games from the hard drive on boot, and be able to set games to different categories or genres to be displayed? For example "Family Games" "RPG's" "LEGO" "ALL" ETC.
To be honest I don't know if this has been mentioned, or if OPL is still in development, I do believe this would a great feature tho, and would fit OPL's style very well. Not the most important feature, but I believe it's one thats overlooked even on loaders for more current gen systems.
As it seems we have no info screens for the applications,
i think we should have this feature
AND
the ability for hiding this screen for selected apps.
Have a nice day!

With so many PS2s out there with no working optical disc drive, I *really* want to see USB optical drive support for installing games to the HDD. I've been laughed at for suggesting it before due to the speed and such, but that's usually a one-time transfer and I personally know three different people who could use it. I moved across the country and can no longer do the loading for them, but it was already pretty bad when they had to wait for me to take time from my schedule to help. Even if they had PCs, they aren't the kind of people to connect to a PS to install games from the original discs. If it supported USB optical drives, I could set them each up with one and they could borrow, rent, or buy a game and install it to the HDD without consulting me at all!
Note: I'm not talking about stealing games. I'm talking about restoring functionality similar to a PS2 with a working disc drive. Though the method requires making a temporary copy, I gave them ancient and small IDE HDDs. They can't store much even if they wanted too: one is only 15GB!
A usability tweak OPL desperately needs is a background highlighting the menu item you have selected. As it is, there is too little distinguishment and too little difference once you select the option and begin changing it (really confusing typical users).
Hello try to change the load path opl settings, to do it from a CD;
This is my code :
opl.c
right?Code:gBaseMCDir = "cdvd0: OPL";
I would also like to make the ps2 cd stop reading once loaded the OPL, something like the HDL
I hope I can help![]()
