No. And it's simply stupid to do so.
No, at least not from the console. Games stored on internal HDD are stored as partitions, not files. You can use HDLDUMB/DUMP to install games through a network, again, using the HDLSERVER option in OPL.

Actually, it's not a bad idea (i.e. when browsing "Network" games, there's a button labeled "Install") in theory, but in practice, it would take some serious re-writes to alot of programs that I don't see happening without a robust and mature SMAP driver speeding up the entire process, and even that's a stretch. Overall, it's reeks of too little too late. Had Sony developed a SMAP driver that supported DMA transfers out of the gate, there'd be a night and day difference in the homebrew scene today, and the option to install games from a LAN source would've existed with the first release of HDLoader as a recommended default over letting the CD/DVD drive graze on a disc for 20 to 45 minutes ...
Would be nice to have support for PAL60 and 480P in Display Settings of OPL...![]()

Yes , totally agreed with you.
Lets face it, 90% of our time when we turn on PS2---we using OPL---because everyone likes to play games on PS2. So why OPL till this moment does not have the possibility to force Progressive Scan?
It would be so convenient to have ability in OPL turn on "Desireable and Preferable" Videomode.
Sony knew that PS2 can natively output Progressive Scan, but did not announce it the way it had to be announced. Though a lot of Developers of Games included this function in majority of games, even though Game itself does not have entry in menu to output Progressive Scan.
Some kind of Software has to turn it on-----so why not OPL?

A feature that I want for OPNLD
Although OPNLD has HDL_SVR, I still have to work on my PC to install PS2 game to HD. HDLOADER can install from CD/DVD to HD. I am wondering is it possible for OPNLD to install PS2 games from SMB to PS2 HD (all the operation is done on PS2). With such feature, we can finish game installation by merely working on PS2. No more PC operation is required, except SMB service. Since modern NAS (network attached storage) or router can also provide SMB service, I think it will be quite good feature.
This has been suggested a few pages back and you could still use HDloader to install now with PS2 DVD and use OPL to play

Is how all good gaming systems came to beAlso would be nice to have ability in OPL to launch ELFs in more convenient way, but not like now----you need at first manually edit conf file if you want to launch ELF.
Would be nice if there in OPL would apear menu called "Launch ELF".
I see it this way:
LAUNCH ELF
MC----USB----HDD----ETH
So you freely browse your connected media and launch the ELF you like....

i just want the next OPL can assign PS2 ip addres automatically via DHCP
