I didnt notice before, but the subnet mask is different in your OPL settings from the PCs, maybe change that to match the PC.
pc
-ip- 192.168.1.1
-sub-255.255.0.0
ps2
-ip- 192.168.1.10
-sub-255.255.0.0
-gw-192.168.1.1

Well, without being there in person to see your setup, i can only guess what might be the issue.
I can only say to be sure the IP ranges are correct, that no 2 devices on the network have the exact same last ocets and that your PC allows FileSharing with permissions set to at least "read".
What happens each time you try, any error messages, does OPL just lock up or display a blank gamelist?

I'm not sure:
To sum it up:
-You try to share games in .ul, or in .iso-format?
-You are using the 'official release', or a beta?
-What about your sharing-related config-stuff in OPL and on your PC? Are you using the GUEST-Account, or another one? Are you sure that you granted permissions (security AND share-access) for this user in the ISO and Folder-Settings?
If you try to share ISOs and use the official release-build, it could be a problem about the ul.cfg-file.
I'm not sure, if the bug werea ul.cfg must be present was already fixed in 0.8.
If not, you can try to put an empty txt-file in the share-folder and rename it accordingly.
I forgot about the ul.cfg as TnA mentioned, so try putting a blank ul.cfg in your Share.
Just open Notepad, then "save as" > all files > name it ul.cfg and save.
Also make sure no game names are over 32 characters and double check your Sharename in both the PC and in your OPL settings, as it is case sensitive and just a single character will prevent your list from displaying.

official build 0.8
iso format
and all settings are correct
but what about security and share access i don't understand where that is located
i tried the ui.cfg file nothing.
is there something i should do with the file ? like type in it or something?
if i don't need it would it be possible to get a new beta version?
o.k.
Seemingly not, or your game-list would show up.and all settings are correct
Aaahh,... The thing I already pointed you to in my first, or one of my first posts...but what about security and share access i don't understand where that is located
Then I think it is either a 'sharing-right'-issue, or a 'security-policy'-issue.i tried the ui.cfg file nothing.
You can configure that by right-clicking on a folder or file and modifying it's properties...
First: The sharing-rights/settings --> Here you define the 'share-name' (name shown and used in the network) of the shared folder; the number of users which are allowed to acces this share AND who is allowed to access this share!
Second: The security-policy-rights/settings --> Here you define again some things&security-rights (bit similar to the other configuration).
You must add your user (the one you choose to use in/for OPL) to both tabs and give them atleast full read-rights.
If you are still using the guest-account, I'd suggest you to use an other user-account for OPL.
1. The GUEST-Account could be de-activated on your system (then you can try to connect a hundered times and nothing will show up, if you used that account...).
2. You get write-access and support to use VMC over SMB.
Nope, just place an empty dummy-ul.cfg in the share-folder.is there something i should do with the file ? like type in it or something?
We don't share betas here, but there are two ways:if i don't need it would it be possible to get a new beta version?
-Either you get/compile it on your own
-or maybe one of the dev's will give you a debug-opl (but I'm not even sure, if this also addresses InGUI-Bugs/Issues [when someone might have wrong setings], or only in-game-stuff).
OK 2 things I'm noticing wrong here ( or just not right )
1st Windows xp HOME edition is nutered for any sort of networking
2nd which just about proves the first .. if I read through the post correctly you were pulling a 169.something number for your pc ? No network guys here ??That's not a routable addy ... the problem is with windows not the PS2 ... I'll check back later .. just headin out

You should've read the entire thread and you would've noticed, what is wrong in your post.
First of,... WinXP Home uses easy file-sharing and should support the standard-settings of OPL with the GUEST-Account...1st Windows xp HOME edition is nutered for any sort of networking
But thank you for pointing to it, since it relates to the security- and policy-settings.
Well, you should read it right...2nd which just about proves the first .. if I read through the post correctly you were pulling a 169.something number for your pc ? No network guys here ??That's not a routable addy ...
He used a crossed Patch/CAT5(e)-Cable and this was the IP he got, when he tried to resolve an IP automatically (on a crossed/direct connection between two devices, none of them have DHCP...).
I also think, the problem is more on the PC-Side, but I stated why.the problem is with windows not the PS2 ... I'll check back later .. just headin out![]()
Sorry, you did not read the thread correctly...
