I was going to post this in the "Open USB Loader - Themes & Icons" thread but ultimately it's a different issue than what's being discussed there as I'm really not talking about skinning that particular program.
What I AM doing is photoshopping up a 5 page GUI theme for uLaunchELF. One of my main pages is based on PS2 stuff and contains OpenPS2Loader, HD Loader and HDL Dump Server.
HDL Dump has no icon designed for it, from what I can tell... So, I'm going to have to invent one.
HDLoader has the basic splash screeen that I can use to create something nice for that icon.
OpenPs2Loader, has nothing I've seen that I can work with. Because it's now such an important tool in the Ps2 homebrew scene, I'd like something attractive on my skin to represent it.
Anyway, to the developers of OpenPs2Loader... Have you guys created an attractive logo, or an icon that goes with it? If so, where can I find it?
There has been no "official" logo or Icon made for OPL as yet, but i had suggested it some time ago and even made some logos/PS2 Icons to choose from, but development has been pretty active and the devlopers dont have time at the moment to decide on either.
You can use any of mine if you want or you can make one yourself if mine arent appealing to you.
I like thumbnail number 4 and 8. I've seen most of the logos, and things for PS2, and those two have a different look than the other things I've seen for the homebrew stuff.
Thanks!
So here's another question, and feel free to tell me to go to Hell, cause as an artist myself, I know that some people have an attitude about this... Would you mind if I took YOUR images, and doctor them up to do something... "different but same" with them?
Heres a high resolution PNG and i believe i used Verdana font for the center and the outside. I also have this in layers somewhere on my PC, but at the moment i dont know which drive i have it on.
I found the one i made with the text around the outside in PNG and its 'embossed', but it might be a bit smaller, i dont remember if i resized it or not.
Yeah, It's definately smaller. What I'm trying to do with what you've done right now is I'm rebuilding it from scratch but a bit larger.. Like 450px round. Afterwards, I can always shrink it down to fit what I'm working on.
I do like the embossing on the new one you've attached. On the other hand, I'm thinking about making the whole thing look kinda 3D with some deco lighting effects. Might even add a few things.
