    Now that is interesting.... i did as your settings show, i set FMCB to auto-boot OPL directly and tested on my DMS4 console (disabled chip) and Monsters vs Aliens WORKED! i'll test the othe consoles with this same setting in FMCB and post results shortly.

    yep, auto-booting to uLE (or even OPL) by-passes whatever it is that FMCB loads to prevent Monsters vs Aliens from working on a NTSC console. Both my V4s and the V16 work with the setting FMCB(Auto)->uLE->OPL

    Since im not one who likes things to auto boot , i removed the auto setting and tried pressing R1 on FMCB startup and it worked too for that game. So for those of you who also dont wish to auto-boot from FMCB, just assign a button press to OPL and press it for games discovered with similar issue like Monsters vs Aliens.

    Maybe we can get a small list going and i'll include it in the next Official OPL Guiudes.
    PS2 Consoles:

    Normally i just let FMCB load to its OSD menu, then i'd choose uLE (most of the time) or i'd choose OPL from the OSD menu. I usually dont sit in front of the screen when i first turn on the console, so its ready to use when i return to the room and i can select whatever it was i was going to do with the console.

    So it was either FMCB > uLE > OPL or FMCB > OPL, so now i can just press L1 (assigned to OPL) but of course i have to be there during startups if i want to play that game.

    Nice! It's good to hear that people without mod chips can still play those games. If IGR is used to boot ULE>OPL, then the problem will return...so it seems like FMCB isn't the only one to create this problem. Hopefully this is a bug that can easily be fixed :P

    I think I posted about similar FMCB-Issues with autoboot, for example on some Homebrew-Games like Dave Gnukem.
    It run's but slowly.

    I'm not sure, where I posted it, but I thought it was in this Metagames-Thread.

    I had same problem before with Monsters vs Aliens with ESR.

    I'm just used to using uLE as my main loader for everything, (Autoboot to uLE and Exit to uLE).

    I have nothing aganist "hacked OSDSYS".

    I can IGR boot directly into OPL again from MvA and it works fine.

    FMCB > uLE > OPL run MvA and IGR to mc0:/APPS/BOOT.ELF (OPL elf), used to blackscreen if set to Browser and now i dont have any such issues with getting back to OPL.

    But your right about the problem of reloading MvA after doing an IGR reset.
