1. Did the PS2/OPL freeze during the delete process ?
2. If not, after the display refresh, did the remaining games appeared, or was the list empty ?
3. Was the file ul.cfg on disk empty (zero bytes), or "just" full of garbage ?
To achieve the "delete game" task (for UL format) there was 2 solutions:
- creating a temporary ul-new.cfg file, and write the list of games without the deleted" one, then renaming the ul.cfg to ul-bak.cfg, and finally rename ul-new.cfg to ul.cfg. That would be secure but we can't rename file on USB. So it would have been impossible to delete a game using this way for USB.
- delete the ul.cfg, re create a new one using the "in memory" list. If something goes bad, you don't have a copy of the original ul.cfg ....
