From what I see, it is possible to play online games with OPL, but when I load the up game, it does not let me play online. It says:

"The hardware SCE/Ethernet is not supported!"

I am trying to play Ratchet: Deadlocked over the Network.

If you know how to fix the problem, please tell :P

    Oh, ok.

Well shucks, I was hoping I wouldn't have to break down all the ISO's into smaller files.

    Thanks for the reply

As long as the ISO is under 4GBs, you can use it from a USB device (FAT32 formatted of course).

Just place the ISOs into either a CD or DVD folder (uppercase) on the root of the USB.

Most of the ISO's I've got are larger than 4GB. (barely, like 4.02). If I really want to, I'll put them onto my externall HDD. I don't use it for anything else but backup all my data. I'll just need to figure out how to use USBUtil again.

So there's pro's and con's on both sides of the deal:
Network: Can't play network games, but can use ISO files
USB: Can play network games, but can't use ISO's bigger than 4GB.

I'm guessing there wouldn't be anyway to make it so you can play online games while using the SMB Network?

    EDIT:
Is there anyway to make the ISO's smaller? (unnecessary data ect.)

You can try the shrinking methods people used to use for HDLoader back in the day. I think there was an app by Genie to shrink known files, but i never used any shrinking methods, so i cant give any help on it.

Doing so would be extremely difficult, so it will not happen anytime soon.

It is theoretically possible, but requires our networking routines to be able to adapt to the need of the games to 'seemingly' load new network drivers and activate those for the use of the game, while in reality that loading is inhibited and the work of those drivers is emulated by our own drivers, in parallel with the traffic with the SMB server for loading the game ISO.

This is a far more complex type of network emulation than any previously done on a PS2, so I don't expect such things to happen shortly, if ever...

    Best regards: dlanor

    Try Gnie's Xpert v2.0
It's not the latest version but the new one requires you to pay for the plugins.
Works pretty well I've actually shrunk some games to a tenth the original size without losing or ripping anything other than language and dummy files.
