I believe OPL does not work with NTSC HDD.
is there a way to convert 300GB NTSC HDD to FAT/FAT32?

There's probably an easier way to do it, but I boot into a GParted Live CD whenever I want to do anything that can't be done under Disk Management in Windows (such as formatting a large drive to FAT32).

You need to format the HDD, to FAT32.

FAT32 is what's compatible with the PS2, mainly used in OPL to play games over the USB interface, given its limitations you'll need an isntaller that will install games and split them into smaller parts. (USBUtil, WinHIIP, USB extreme) You must defragment you HDD.

NTFS can be used when you play over a network, you can install whole ISO's as there's no limitations by the file system or communication interface.

    Or maybe even this:

Use the Program attached to format your USB drive back to FAT.
    HP USB Format Tool

Yes, it will work nicely with a NTFS HDD, if you use one of the beta revision of OPL (that is, the future next OPL 0.8). You have to compile it yourself, there are pre configured VM and guide in this forum to help you.

ok so i formatted my 300GB NTFS HDD
named it PS2SMB, shared with name PS2SMB.
created folder called DVD inside the PS2SMB.
copied my .iso to DVD folder and named it SCUS_976.15.Size Matters.iso
but it doesnt show up in my OPL Ifcaro.
