So let's talk about it...

First off, your N-JOY Theme looks great... I use it....
For me, the "info-page" is not interesting. I just want it sometimes, but not always.
So i donīt like it, if i want to start the game, i have to press "X" twice (first comes the info, then the game starts).
It were better to configure another Button for the "info"....
Your "concept-3" have something.... yeah, cool.... thing....
For me were the best, if you make the squares in right for "preview-pictures" of the games, with a "selected" yellow frame, of the selected game. And in bottom where you have 3 lines of the game-name, split it to left & right side, make in left one line for the name of the selected game, right something other like Buttons....
Your "concept-4" looks simple & great too.
Here you can make on the left and on the right smaller previews (like how you can set in WiiFlow for the Wii
), in bottom one line for the game-name, and use the buttons left/right for the game-list and not for different storages....

Thanks for the feedback.
The prob with opl is many infos are only available on the second, on the info screen.
So the main screen is very, very limited...
And the opl can only get the infos from one file/game.
So i.e. a rating based game list is impossible...
And thank you for your ideas for the concepts.

the buttons left/right for the game-list and not for different storages
This is a job for homi.
I would like to see that, too. A free configurable option for the cursors (per page).

I've been using a version of NJOY for last week or two -- the one Homi corrected for you, I think. At first, the theme refused stick with r616 no matter what, but updating to r631 or above fixes that. I keep the info page disabled though -- one less press of X to load a game. The larger cover art for concept 3 and 4 look promising ...

Thanks a lot for the feedback.
Hmm, why stands "A R623+ Design." in the description/header of the N-JOY theme...???

Yes, there are some traps in making themes. UTF-8 is one of them.
Sometimes when testing the possibilities the gui is making really, really strange things.
One of the probs is homi to motivate making changes in the opl...
Ie. a config bit to disable the info screen for single entries would be a big step in the right direction.

liked the Concept 2 since it got 240 character limit on the game description since on Njoy 2.6.1 i can only see 48 characters more or less.
and on 2.6.1 i cannot seem to see the esrb icon and number of players.
nevertheless good work! and i'll be waiting for future advancement of the theme when OPL 0.9 is out

Liked the Concept 4, it's simple and beautiful. Are you planing to make it, cause i want to see it in motion.

Yeah, i'd like to see it in motion, too. And it uses the big cover size.
As you can see that were ideas from march this year.
I'm currently very busy with other non ps2 projects.
Sorry of. But this concept is not forgotten. For sure.
And i hope my ideas for the opl will find their way to the source code...
That would motivate me a lot.
;D
Rgds.
