FYI dlanor the youtube vid shows how and were the screws are![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to beI was pretty sure it would, even without watching it myself.
But a pure video reply is a poor substitute for a proper verbal description when it comes to brevity.
Videos have their strong points in illustrating details visually, but they are horribly bad at presenting a condensed overview, since each frame only includes a minuscule part of the complete process. And in watching any video only one frame is available at any given moment. And anything you miss or misinterpret requires you to rewind and review some sequence.
For a quick overview nothing beats a descriptive text, which can let you take in an entire process with a single glance at a few brief phrases.
And all parts of it are available at once, for double-checking as needed, just by focusing your eyes on that section. (as long as it's a single page).
So while videos definitely have a useful place in technical descriptions, they are NOT a universal replacement for verbal communication, though a growing segment of the population are treating them as such. (I've seen forums consisting almost exclusively of posted youtube links, with a few brief comments in 'texting' style...)
Best regards: dlanor
But dang good info if you want to learn![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to be<---- <3's large walls of text ... especially @ 1440x900 native LCD res ...I agree with dlanor - many video tutorials are as useless as a pair of tits on a wild boar. If they don't zoom on whatever the hell they're clicking on their desktops or changing in the application's boxes, they're blaring you clean out of your chair with their soundtrack. Hey, I like "Fall of Sipledome" by Testament ... but not at 4AM in the morning ...

Well video or text aside, I appreciate all the replies either way! I'll give it a shot soon and see how it goes. Thanks all!
Also make sure your drive is jumped as master. Check the documentation for your make and model. Make sure you format the hard drive using either ulaunch-elf or HD-Loader in PS2 proprietary format format. I understand that you should be able to format the drive using WinHIIP also, but I could not get it to select the drive which was connected to a usb <-> ata adapter. Once the drive is formatted, you will not be able to read or write to it with windows, you must either load the disk images over the network, load them from the PS2's drive using PS2 software like HDLoader, or use special software like WinHIIP on windows to load the game images. If the game images are not original disks, but ESR backups and you want to load the disks on the PS2 using HDLoader, you must launch HDLoader from the ESR gui screen on the PS2.
