    I have NTSC ver , Using latest OPL,It seems to play fine, but when i die sometime and you should get the SNAKEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! death screen it will freeze?

    Is there any mode i should be using or gamefix thanks, im using USB HDD

    It shouldn´t freeze there. It is fully playable with OPL.
    My guess is that you have a bad rip, so do another rip of your original.

    Thanks for reply, i really dont think MGS3 likes running on OPL usb ,networked im sure it runs great, def not a bad rip,its freezing up in other places as well, i did a ESR disk and it works perfect so no probs

    Make sure you have defragmented all your game files on any USB device you use, do that for each time you install or copy something new to the drive.

    Maybe the fix, Jimmikaelkael commited today fixed the issues with this or some other games...
    If you can get a hold of the newest rev (compile it), just test it.

    So i guess by "latest OPL", you mean OPLv0.8 then, as there have been many fixes in revisions after the v0.8 release. The last fix by jimmi was 02-28 and you can read the discussion about the fix here in the (Open PS2 Loader Game compatibility) thread.

    I just finished MGS:Snake Eater NTSC, playing it using OPL.
    It took me 11-12 hours something, during this I got one freeze (only in a cut-scene, and it worked after restarting) but no other problems at all.
