    I did search for this.
I recently attempted to link my PS2 Open rev 359 through a wireless AP functioning in client mode to a router which in turn is hard wired to the SMB share. However the SMB slowed to a crawl, it was working just very slow.
Is this an issue with rev 359 or an issue of bandwidth. The router and ap are both G capable. They are not N however. In DD-WRT i'm showing the AP only having a signal quality of 24%, and its pretty far away from the router. I don't exactly know how to get a line bandwidth test. I can get a bandwidth chart from DD-WRT for the AP client during an FTP transfer, so I might try that to get an actual bandwidth figure.
I thought I saw an upper end of 5mpbs needed? Recommend a more appropriate rev?
    ?
    Thanks.

I'm no expert on WiFi, but I do know that if the signal quality is bad enough then it doesn't matter what your raw bandwidth is, because most of it will still be consumed by the constant need to retransmit packets that were received incorrectly.

This is one of several reasons why I always prefer a wired connection, though I realize that this is not always an available option.

    Best regards: dlanor
