The games are working with a real MC, but if I try to create an VMC in slot 1 or 2 (or both), the VMC file is created but when I try to start the game, Open PS2 loader shows the falowing message:

Error with VMC file, continue with physical MC?

The same error hapens with all the games i have installed in my USB HDD.

I'm using a PS2 model SCPH-39001 chiped with Matrix Infinity 1.93 (clone), I'm connecting my HDD with an SATA/IDE to USB adapter. I left the modchip enabled and use its features to boot Open PS2 Loader 0.8 that is stored inside my MC in slot 1.
No mater if i left the MC in slot 1 or 2 or even remove the MC after OPL has started, it aways shows that error message.

    Anyone know what is wrong?

Sorry, i just found the answer to my all question.

My HDD was unfragmented, but OPL was creating fragmented VMC files. To fix it i let OPL create the VMC files, then i conected the HDD in my PC and chose to defragment it again. Now OPL can read the VMC file.

Yes ... OPL doesn't create the VMC files fragmented intentionally, it is FAT32 that is bad designed (moreover if your device is almost full).

We can't force anything within OPL, so you have to check your USB key on your PC again (as you did) after creating some VMC files ... if you get this error obviously.
