    I did use a super duper heavy 10platter 500GB Hitachi HDD and it works. Im not sure about 1TB since there are no IDE drives larger than 500GB that I seen before.

    Edit: Forgot, I am talking about the PS2 Network Adaptor. Havent use a USB HDD yet since it sucks on loading speed and glitches on FMV.

    internal=network adaptor HDD.
    1TB is the max and good luck finding one. there were a few around and there was a list of compatible drives. quite a few 750GB as well. just stay away from WD drives unless you want to mod your adaptor to let it fit.
    WD drives have an extra pin between the power and IDE interface.

    some people use a IDE to SATA adaptor BUT you still have the 1TB limit.
