Major freezing issues (and network share issues) with OPL v0.8
Major freezing issues (and network share issues) with OPL v0.8 –
06-04-2012,09:14 PM
I've been trying today to set up OPL to work with both my internal HDD and over network. Accessing the internal HDD results in the application freezing with the little loading icon stopping, and I have to do a hard reset of the console to do anything. Accessing the network share simply results in nothing being listed, though I'm fairly certain I have it set up correctly. Running the HDL server option gets to the "HDL Server is running" message but then it freezes and a hard reset of the console is required (and HDL Dumb can't see it).
And NOW it won't even load the application without freezing on the splash screen. I've gone looking on the MC for the CFG file to try deleting it and trying again from scratch but have had zero luck.
Could anyone shed some light on these issues?
EDIT: I suppose I should add that my games are named correctly (I used iso2opl) and within the appropriate CD or DVD folders within my root share which is shared for everyone AND for the guest account which I have enabled on Win 7 Pro 64bit.

make sure that your firewall is correctly config for windows 7 it is blocked by default for security reasons.
and that the folders have complete access on as well. OPL need wright access to VMC folder and most recent build CFG folder as well

Okay shortly after typing up the original post I figured I'd try swapping cables are to see if it was a hardware issue. Apparently I have a dodgy cable, because now everything is working, including the crashes no longer happening. Why a faulty network cable would cause OPL to crash reading the HDD I have no idea, but at least it's all good now.

Yea when your connected to the network with OPL even when it is running on USB or Internal Hard drive it stays connected I mentioned it in the Bug report but
either they don't know why or can't fix it
So if you want your internal to work right best to disconnect from SMB while playing

can you access your internal HDD with uLaunchELF? can access the ps2 with FTP? I suspect that your network adapter is defective.
