Networking, gonna go try all those "modes," see if anything works.
Any help in the mean time would be awesome.

If it works with no VMC then check if you got wright permissions on for VMC folder has to make and modify those
Recommend to update to .9

Is how all good gaming systems came to beare you sure the iso image is intact? i had this happen during my brief experiements with SMB in OPL when images were corrupt (although with different games).
Replying to both your posts:
1. I have no idea what VMC's are, Virtual Memory Card maybe?
2. Yeah, the iso's good, ran it in PCSX2.
I'll go get .9 and put it on and see if it works.
Edit: Just found out I have 0.9, but it's the version that still says 0.8 VMC in the about menu, so no, it doesn't work on 0.9
Yes VMC=Virtual Memory cards and OPL=Open Ps2 Loader need read wright permissions on VMC folder to work right even if you don't use it

Is how all good gaming systems came to beI check all the ISO images I make with PCSX2 before using them, and it worked.
I read somewhere that I might need to defragment my share folder?
So, to get down to what I need to know: how can I get this, and the iso I made for my copy of GTA: San Andreas to work?
GTA freezes on a white screen and KH is still freezing on the yellow screen.
One other little grievance I've been having, I've tried using modes, but when I go to save, it goes back to the game list without saving the modes...
Any info on why that happens too would be awesome.
Since you are using OPL .9 you need write permissions on for CFG folder and VMC for it to work
and you need the ISO named correctly too and in correct folder
Example D:\PS2SMB\DVD\SLUS_209.46.SAN_ANDREAS.iso

Is how all good gaming systems came to beOh my god you may have just solved my problem.
I'm gonna go do that and report back to see if they stick.
EditA: Nope, took read only off both folders, still didn't work, the options won't save.
EditB: Took off simple sharing and set all parameters to on, still doesn't work.
Any other ideas?
Edit edit: Kingdom Hearts 2 works without the underscore as a space in the name, so up until that point, everything I have is correct.

let me guess on windows xp and you copy to folder right it is a common xp bug it will not inherit folder shares that way
Way to fix rip to folder

Is how all good gaming systems came to beHow is ripping the ISO to the folder fix write permissions?
I have no idea what to do now, the write permissions are set, and it's still not saving my modes.
Guess until this problem get's fixed I'll steer clear of any games that don't load right.
Edit: Must have ripped it wrong, re-riped and it works.
I'll try the same for KH.
