Guys, I'm curious if I could use my 120GB iPod Classic as a storage for my games? It's FAT32 formated and theoretically it may be used... Did someone tried that already and what was the result because it's 99% full and I don't want to mess with transferring and backuping the music if it can't do the job? Thanks in advance

Why don't you try ? If uLE can list it's contents under mass:/ then you can use it as your USB HDD.

Didn't thought of that test - but does uLF's FileMan show hidden folders, because there is only 1 hidden folder 'iPod_control' which stores the files? In fact that doesn't matter if I put some other files and/or folders... Anyway - I'll test it with a game which I've just "installed" to the iPod but also will see with uLF if it lists the hidden folders - just to know Thanks for the advice!

Tried with 2 games and they both freeze on the yellow screen Tried with modes 1&3, 1&3&6, and of course without any... OPL r243. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Just after sending the post I realized that I didn't defraged the iPod since I have it... I'll do the defrag and will share the result.

    ---EDIT---

It was pretty hard fragmented - took about an hour or more to defrag. The games were on 4 and more fragments. Didn't had the time to test, this evening I'll do the testing and I'll write once again what is the result

Again freezing on yellow screen Maybe it isn't possible because of the ipod's "internal" some-sort-of management First when executing the OPL it shows "safe to remove" and the bar starts to fill (this is showing when you click on the safe remove in Windows) after that, when OPL is running the iPod shows "Connected", OPL lists the games and once the X is pressed on the screen of the iPod appears the "Syncronizing" label and when the debug screens reach the yellow one, OPL freezes and the iPod is showing "Connected" once again...

Maybe it's not ment to be :P lol

It is mostly the older Ipods that will work. I forget exactly what generations will work and which ones won't.
I think anything after 5th generation doesn't work. But I could be wrong.

It's a shame my iPod is the 6th generation and isn't supported by that fancy thing
