How to install uLauchELF via OPL with a dead laser? –
I'm running into some problems. I need to install uLE and my laser is dead. My PS2 is hard modded with Infinity chip and OPL 0.8 is installed in my MC.
As far as I know, you just need to copy ULE (latest is 4.42b) on a fat32 formatted pendrive and start it through OPL.
To do so, copy the .elf file into a folder (for example, it might be like mass:/APPS/ULE442b.ELF ) then write a text file and name it "conf_apps.cfg".
Write inside it the names and locations of specified .elf files following this scheme: name_of_app=location ( for example, ULE442b=mass:/APPS/ULE442b.ELF )
Leave the file .cfg on pendrive's root, then start the application from the OPL section.
I did exactly what you said. But the 'Apps' list shows nothing. I read the official apps guide on openps2loader site, it says the conf_apps file should be on MC. Any help?
Ops, I'm sorry, I just verified it now. I thought this guide was correct. It say that if OPL can't read/write configuration files on MC, then it try to read/write the files on USB.
Actually, you can try to boot ULE from an available ISO through USB. I didn't try that yet.
