Here's how the folders should look:

    The content can either be:
    • icons, suffix is _ICO, ex: SCES_554.34_ICO.jpg
    • covers, suffix is _COV, ex: SCES_554.34_COV.jpg
    • background, suffix is _BG, ex: SCES_554.34_BG.jpg
Make sure you add the suffixes (_COV, _ICO or _BG) to the end of the filename on your images in the "ART" folder and I believe the largest file size for images is 640x512. They have to be either .png or .jpg. More Info (PS2 cover art for OPL new gui loader)HERE.
Dlanor has a post (PS2 cover art for OPL new gui loader)HERE that should help to get the art and themes to show up. Hope this helps.

You don't mention what OPL version you are using, and you need to be aware that the new cover art and theme methods only work for the newer beta revisions, but not for the 'stable' and public v0.7 release.

    In other words:
If you dont have a later beta revision of OPL, then cover art and the new themes won't work.
And the only legitimate way of getting such beta binaries is to compile them yourself from the source code.

Sorry but only open source beta that is at bitbucket that you must compile yourself has Cover art or any art option you will have to learn to compile it yourself or wait until the next release.
