How do you copy different games from your C: to usb?
How do you copy different games from your C: to usb? –
I have freemcboot 1.8, opl 0.9, 8gb sd card to usb adaptor, and a ps2 fat. I already have one game on my sd. I can't copy and paste the other game I have on my C: drive cause it asks to copy and replace or move and rename the ulcnf file, which cannot be altered. I'm using USB Advanced to convert the iso's to my C: drive and since it doesnt recognize my sd card. Then I have to copy the game from my C: drive to my sd card
Here's the method I'm stuck with:
1. Copy my game from my sd card to my C: drive on PC.
2. Open USB Advance and make sure the game I just copied is on the list.
3. I mount an ISO using Daemon Tools and convert it to my C: drive using USB Advanced.
4. After it's finished converting I copy both games to my sd card.
5. I plug my sd card to ps2 and launch OPL to check if the games work. Sometimes I get the infamous "error, the game is fragmented". Sometimes defraging doesn't work and I'm back to root one.
NOTE: This method takes up way to much time considered I'm copying 3-7gb back and forth.
There has got to be an easier way. Can somebody give me a step by step tutorial or redirect me. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
If your image files are in iso format, just rename them, then put them in the right folder. Make two folders on your SD card, one called CD the other called DVD. then rename your iso files like this gameID.name you want in OPL.iso then put CD games in the CD folder and DVD games in the DVD folder.

I had a similar problem. I used to use USBExtreme to rip the game, Alcohol 120% for its virtual drive, then USBUtil to make another config file. USBUtil won't work with virtual drives. I did try editing the config file in note pad but it never displayed right in OPL. The config file made by USBUtil looks different to the one that USBExtreme made when viewed in note pad, but they both work in OPL.

this will only work for sub 4Gb iso files due to FAT32 size limits. if your game is DVD9 ie 2 layer then you will still have to use your first method.....

That's all I have right now. I'm planning on getting a an terrabyte external hdd by the end of this month. Then I won't have to worry about this problem.
