You can always load cover art from a USB pendrive or USB HDD.

Last time i checked, VMCs can be created from the settings menu in OPS2L.

Also if the games are located on the internal HDD and not on USB HDD? I never tried that...

Yes, it's still the same (at the same page as the compatibility modes, not at the global OPL settings!).

I'm not sure, but i think Open PS2 Loader can read from more than one location at once, it managed to read a theme from memory card while my games were on USB HDD, so i guess you could try.

The GUI does have access to all defined and accessible devices, so you can define any of them to be your 'default' device from which themes are read. But there is no way to configure the GUI to read cover art for the games from any other device than the one where the games themselves are stored.

Thus the cover and icon image files for a game will always be read from the same device where the game itself is stored.

So when you are looking at the USB game list, then all game cover and icon images will also be read from that same USB drive, and when looking at the network list they will all come from the same network fileshare that holds the games.

    Thanks!

I am better now anyway, if not quite 'fine' yet.
And I'm constantly improving now, so I'll hopefully get there soon.

Well i know where is the option to create the VMC but when it tries to create it it says failed to create VMC, dont know why, but a paste called VMC showed up in my pendrive, and why isn't Ule reading my HDD? I can play my games without a problem but i cant create another partition on my HDD because Ule does not create it, it says failed to create. Can someone please f*&¨$#@ help me?

Now you are confusing me. Are you using internal HDD drive like you spoke of earlier (and below) or are you using USB drives (like you implied here), or are you using a mixture of both ?

If some VMC stuff was created on your USB drive, that should normally be because you had selected a game on that USB drive when you gave the command. That is how it works, as any VMC file must always reside on the same medium as the game(s) it is to be used with. As for why the operation failed, that is hard to say without knowing exactly what you did and the state of the drive where you did it. Since your phrasing implies that the operation was made on another drive than the one you intended, it could be that the operation failed simply because this USB drive was too full...

and why isn't Ule reading my HDD?
Again I have to ask if you mean internal or external HDD, and also why you never mentioned this before. It should be pretty obvious if uLE just hangs or shows a blank page when you try to 'read' the HDD directory. So why didn't you notice and mention this before ?

I can play my games without a problem but i cant create another partition on my HDD because Ule does not create it, it says failed to create.
I hope you realize that the HddManager of uLE is ONLY intended for internal HDDs having the Sony standard APA formatting.
(The same kind of formatting implemented in uLE and HDL etc.)

If you are using this HddManager with an internal HDD having normal APA formatting and sufficient room for the new partition, then a failure of uLE to create such a partition usually means that the HDD partition list was corrupted earlier, making proper allocation for a new partition impossible. Such corruption is also indicated by the fact that you say uLE does not 'read' the HDD. Because in the HddManager (as opposed to the FileBrowser) you should be able to see partition entries for all the games installed by HDL-compatible methods. And if you do not see those, though you know they are present, then any commands you try to use are doomed to fail.

In some such cases it is possible to repair HDD corruption by using WinHiip, but it doesn't always help.

    Best regards: dlanor

Sorry, my bad, well i play my games from my internal HD (my pendrive stay connected in my ps2 because i have SMS elf on it so i boot Ule using the exit to APPS/BOOT.ELF option in OPL and i have my musics on my pendrive so i keep listening in a god part of my day, my father keeps listening his radios on the sound system here at my house so i can't use it :/) , formated it by booting a CD(in my computer's BIOS) wich had an program (a lot of programs) called HDD megapack 9 BR, it installed HDL too, then i transfered the games to my HD using WINHIP selected 48bit hd loader, in somewhere in winhip (sorry, can't remember) then played a lot for 2 days, then i shut down the console and went to sleep, in the next day, when i tried to play RED SCREEN OF HELL, s***, then a friend told me that my HDL has been corrupet, and i didnt had all the games on my computer so i decided to transfer the OPL elf to my MC, then a lot of research on internet and i managed to get it working, and playing games from my internal HD, i wanted to save some space in my MC so tried to create a VMC, i couldn't (is this word right?) then i tried to open my HD via Ule to create a new partition on it to put the cover arts, did not worked, i though it could be some problem with the hard disk, then i use the scan& repair option on winhip, nothing wrong, it didn't showed any worng sectors, well then i wrote this topic screaming for help, if anything else is missing to you guys help me, please let me know, thx for trying to help!

OH,i play my games only from my internal HD, i don't use my USB device to play games, and my HD still has 6gb of free space!

Again sorry if theres any wrong words, brasilian kid trying to write in English -.-
