[Solved] Help: Setup dev environment on Linux

Hi,
Ok, after some tries I figure out how to setup my PS2DEV.
I checked out the ps2toolchain on ps2dev subversion server, and run the full build.
All went ok, I can even compile open-PS2-loader, it fails at the end because I forgot to retrieve and compile ps2-packer.
For the moment (was very late yesterday) I give up trying to compile it myself (requires to build libucl and libz) and took some binary package (ver 0.4.4) instead.
My concern now, is that I compiled everything with gcc 4.4. Should I use gcc 3.4 instead ? (seems there is no difference)
Cause for now, my self compiled elf freeze on initializing the network (on count value "1"). I already had this problem before, so I must verify that my samba share is ok, I also will try with some official OpenPS2Loader release to check this part is ok.
Regards.
Bootlegninja: I saw the edit button, however I did not saw the "DELETE" button ! I wanted to edit the first post and remove the two other remains of my investigation, but without the delete button I find it ridiculous to let "empty" posts. So I just thought it was the normal behavior on this forum to not edit/delete and just add some new post ...
Wow, finally saw some delete button ... you need to edit then delete ....

Ok, I finally recompile the whole package with GCC 3.3.
Not sure it change anything, I still got some network lock-up, even with official OpenPS2Loader rev62.
Sometimes it works (maybe by swapping the menu when the network is loading ?), sometimes not it got stick on "Loading Network 1".
Anyway, apart from this delicate behavior, my build seems to work, as I succeeded to play some of my games reported working.
So it is solved.
Regards.
