    Well, I have 2 questions,
1: Do I have to have the games on the root of my HD?
2: Do I have to defrag every time I add a new game?

    Hi!

It's not really clear what you mean.
You have 2 option to use a hdd.
    Internal and via usb.

If you use usb, it makes sense to defrag the hdd if an prob appears.
But is the slowest option to use opl.

Better is internal hdd or samba via network...

I mean my USB Hard drive. So do the games have to be on the root or any folder?

1.If the game is ISO,it must be place in CD or DVD folder(depending on the media type...CD or DVD)with the correct name.
2.If the game is .ul format, you don't have to place in into those folders

You must place the games and the folders in the root directory of the device only if you don't specify a path in the OPL settings(USB prefix path)

When you are installing games, they may fragment the other games too so after installing a game, defragmenting is recommended

I could not find those settings in opl.
Are they on the PS2 or do I have to configure it on my pc?

    OPL=>Settings=>USB path prefix.
I don't know if they exist in OPL 0.8(if you are actually still using it)

I thought it would give me a directory option, I don't know what to type.

For example if the CD\DVD folders are in
    mass:/1/2/CD
    mass:/1/2/DVD
    You just have to type
    1/2
