I am trying to load a multiloader ISO over the network (specifically the taiko 9 in 1), but the format of the filename as detected by the iso2opl.exe is "MULTILOA.ELF".Taiko 9 in 1.iso", and this causes it to not appear in the games list.

Is there a way to do this over network or will my attempts be futile?

Okay solved my own problem, and in a more favorable way!

I have the file "Taiko 9 in 1.iso", and i created 9 hard links to it
    "SLPS_202.21.Taiko no Tatsujin 1.iso"
    "PBPX_952.06.Taiko no Tatsujin 2.iso"
    etc etc

(Hard links are made in windows by the command mklink /H, example:
    mklink /H "SLPS_202.21.Taiko no Tatsujin 1.iso" "Taiko 9 in 1.iso"
    )

When OPL loads it via SMB, it will load the right game. In case this information is useful to anyone else, here you go...

Nice idea,... That way, you only have one ISO on disc and still can link to all games, within the ISO (including using seperate cover-art and such...).

    Hey Joshie,

Haha, quite the coincidence! I recently purchased a used white slim modle SCPH-79001 to run FMCB so I could play games from the Taiko series (Always been a fan of the Rhythm-Game genre). I came across the same 9 in 1 taiko iso as you.

Just wondering what set-up you are using exactly:
Is the hard drive you're using formatted as NTFS?
Can you somehow reduce the amount of space the "Hard links" takes to be representative of the space taken by the single "Taiko 9 in 1.iso"? (The hard links are simply "short cuts" for the taiko 9 in 1.iso, named specifically to allow the multi loader to work, yes?)

I ask this because I have issues with the 4 gb limit that th FAT 32 file system imposes on files. I understand that one should use USB utility 2.0 to split an iso into a Ps2 compatibile format to load onto the FAT 32 drive, but the utility doesn't consider the taiko iso a Ps2 Iso: When I try to load "Taiko 9 in 1.iso", USB Utility takes issue with the "SYSTEM.CNF" file, claiming that it is not a Ps2 Disc.
Because of this I've only tried loading the main "taiko 9 in 1.iso" onto an NTFS formatted 250gb hard drive into a folder entitled "DVD" along with all necessary hard links. My FAT 32 drive runs fine with the exact same share settings and name, however when my ps2 is connected to the NTFS drive it lists no games.

From what I gather NTFS-compatibility is rather murky in compatibility with OPL V0.8, but can't seem to find a workaround for the FAT 32 limitations with this specific game.
If you could let me know what set up you are using exactly with the Taiko 9 in 1, it'd be much appreciated!

    Cheers

There is no compatibility problem at all with NTFS, as long as you are able to manage the access rights on the murky windows operating system.

In network mode, OPL doesn't even know what filesystem it reads the game from. You can use FAT32, NTFS (or even NTFS compressed fs), ReiserFS, HPFS, Ext2/3/4 (with compression or not), JFS, HFS ...
