When I try to build the toolchains it says "Install gcc before continuing". So I re-ran the exe and made sure gcc was checked but it still doesn't work. Even after removing the apps and doing a full install I still get this.

Must be sthing stupid like a system variable or sthing. Anybody can help?

A wrong path, wrong version, wrong spelling, etc., any of those could contribute to it not being found.

I did follow this to the letter:

    http://lukasz.dk/playstation-2-progr...ingw-tutorial/

The only thing I did differently was overwrite the files as some people said you had to do this to get it working.

Once you have done that, you need to go to the ps2dev.org SVN to get the libs that are required for this project, remember that not every project uses the exact same libs, so you need to be sure your using those for this project.

    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE

I can download using SVN. It's the step after that that isn't working:

    This doesn't work:

    sh toolchain.sh

    Then type "cd open-usb-loader83"
    Then type "make"

(However, I'm not sure if it's as simple as downloading and running, as I'm not sure if the person who put together that Pre-Built PS2SDK(version 5) had to do anything that would make it universal so that everyone could use it.)

I left an already compiled version of rev83 in there(OPNUSBLD.ELF), any new compiled version will overwrite that one though. Also, this was made in Windows XP Pro SP3.

Sorry i couldnt post this myself, but I'd hate to let a good upload go to waste...

Unfortunately this pack is not compiling this homebrew now.(white screen freezing)

Ive used that until some time ago and was working fine, but recently I've read that need to do some updates related to libs.

As I'm not a great programmer and dont understand how can I do it myself, would be very appreciated if any one could point me a link to a working environment or at least a link about how to update my environment (and all new libs needed).

    Thanks in advance

    Updating PS2SDK in the future

PS2SDK changes are made frequently, binary release less frequently. Therefor its best always just to update and build a fresh version of PS2SDK every now and then. You can do this from the toolchain.sh script by calling it with the -p flag.

    ./toolchain.sh -p

This will download and build the lastest version of PS2SDK for you.

When I type this, I get "./toolchain.sh: No such file or directory",
but file exists, and when I type "sh ./toolchain.sh -p" -

    "./toolchain.sh: BUILD_SCRIPTS: bad array subscript
    ./toolchain.sh: ./: is a directory
    ./toolchain.sh: BUILD_SCRIPTS: bad array subscript
    :Failed"

my ps2sdk rev is 1664, compilation works but I still get white screen in some games (tried defragmentation and re-ripping ISO - tekken 5), binary size is 261kb (267*684 bytes)

    Why ps2sdk don't want updates?

    edit:
Does someone know what libraries should be changed in sdk?
