I'm having trouble with codebreaker loading. I have tried several patched elf files, but none seem to work. All of them will start working, then take me directly to the SMS menu. It never takes me to the main menu so I can pick codes. Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to say that i'm trying to use cheats for opl, I already have opl and free mcboot installed.

I have never heard of any 'patched CodeBreaker' version designed to launch SMS.
I rather suspect that you have some highly abnormal setup to even make that possible.

If you never see the CodeBreaker menus, how can you even be sure that it really is a genuine CodeBreaker elf you are using ?
(Hint: Their size is normally around 3.5 megabytes.)
