You guys really helped me! Sorry it took so long!
Hey guys I too have the same problem.
My ps2 is modded with a Matrix chip when I try to use HD Loader with a back up game cd it shows:
"System File not found. Please Check your CDVD Game"
Please help me guys.
I want to use Hd Loader as a virtual memory card as I do not have any original Sony PS2 memory card.
use open ps2 loader, it supports hdl-format games and has built in vmc support. also, hdproject is old as shit and doesn't work pretty well...

If you play games from any usb device (hard drive, card reader, pendrive) you will have vmc for the games stored in the usb devices. If you use SMB, you will have vmc for the SMB games, if you use internal hdd, you will have vmc for internal hdd. There's no way to play games from CD/DVD with opl.
But pls can you tell me why Hd Loader shows this message?
Is it a cd default or a software problem??
jesus christ just install freemcboot and use open ps2 loader, it's not that hard...
