I am using my router to connect to the PS2, and they connect fine, I can play games (Persona 4 is what I'm trying), but sometimes it will freeze while loading. Is there a way to stop this from happening, because it happens before I even get the chance to play long enough to save, but at different parts, so it doesn't seem like a problem with my file. The game is too big to put on a USB, so I'm wondering if there is any way to stop the freezes?

One possibility is that you are connect to internet threw that router and packet collision disconnect from internet and only run PC an PS2 threw it
another is get crossover cable and directly connect to pc with ps2

Is the crossover cable better, because I have other family that uses the router so there is no way for me to stop other computers from being connected.

Yea crossover has high response because it directly connect to your PC
Less chance for packet loss and interference

I got a crossover cable, and it's still freezing to the point where I can't do anything. Does that just happen because I'm sending it through the Ethernet port, or is there something else I can do to get the games to work better?

Ping your ps2 see if their is loss again maybe something wrong with Ethernet port but should not be doing that

Sorry, but how do I ping my PS2, and how does that show if there is loss?

open Command Prompt type ping and IP of PS2 it will give lose and received if any loss then you either have bad crossover or your Ethernet is not set correctly
O and use uLE and go to host and start it before to check

I was told that turning on modes 1 and 2 would work better, so I did that and just played for an hour. Although there was occasional loss, like every 20 or 30 times it checked, I still went that whole time with no freezing. However, the load times were really long, but I guess I can deal with that. I assume that there is no real way to make games load better? It froze now that I tried again, so I'm not sure what to do. When it froze, there wasn't any loss, so I'm not sure. I'll try other games that load less often and see if they work any better, I guess.
