You can patch the ISOs beforehand (With something like PS2_V-Fix_2005) like you would an image you are going to burn, it still works ok in OPL, at least in my limited experience it does (I have converted just 5 games from NTSC to PAL, then played them in OPL without any problems.)
...or he can try "GSModeselector" a.k.a "GSM", to switch to differnt Video-Modes on-the-fly.
